DREAM BIG NEXER INNOVATION RACE 2022
Win up to 1 million sek. Dream Big Nexer Innovation Race is a gender-equal, global and entrepreneurial competition focused on innovative business solutions for the digital and tech industry.
Anyone is welcome to enter a business idea. It can be a service or consultancy business but also an innovative product. Your business idea may be presented as an idea, Proof of Concept, prototype, etc., but it’s important that the idea has not yet been commercialised.
Apply either as an individual contestant or as a team (hereinafter referred to as a contestant). Minimum age for all contestants is 18 years. Dream Big takes gender equality seriously and we encourage both women and men to participate.
Dream Big is a global competition. Contestants who qualify for participation during the pitch day and the prize ceremony can join via link.
All competition entries must be the contestants’ own ideas.
Once the application has been submitted, the jury and Nexer have the right to analyse and evaluate the idea or solution. The jury or Nexer are not allowed to use an idea or solution submitted without agreement and approval by the respective contestant.
If the application is made by a team, a representative for the team shall be appointed as responsible for the registration and submission of the application. However, all team members must be specified. The representative acts on behalf of the team, approves the Terms of Conditions, and ensures that the team has read, understood and agreed to fulfil them.
A person can participate in more than one team and also participate as an individual contestant.
Contestants may submit more than one idea.
Contestants are responsible for making sure that the ideas submitted do not violate any third party’s intellectual property rights such as a patent or copyright.
The jury or Nexer is not responsible for any infringements of intellectual property rights.
Contestants agree that Nexer will be compensated for all damages and costs arising from any third party intellectual property claims against Dream Big regarding submitted applications.
Application Period
The application for Dream Big can be submitted from June 22 to September 18, 2022.
Selection criteria
The jury assesses both the business idea and the contestant’s business understanding based on the below criteria.

How innovative is the idea, and what are the possible opportunities for expansion?
TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION
Does the technical implementation of the service or product provide a future growth opportunity that meets the business needs?
BUSINESS POTENTIAL
What’s the market potential of the business idea?
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND BUSINESS ACUMEN
Does the contestant have the realism, passion and commitment required, including a desire to succeed, to realise the business idea successfully?
Nexer is interested to invest up to 1 million SEK in the winning start-up. The prize is tailored to meet the winners’ needs of funding, equity investments, business support, technical know-how, marketing or sales support, mentorship or networking. Nexer is an active partner and can contribute with expertise within strategy, technology, sales and marketing, which are Nexer’s cornerstones.
Communication and Marketing
All contestants that proceed to pitch presentations endorse that Nexer may use the submitted material in Dream Big marketing communications. This means that Nexer has the right to publish e.g. video clips and images of contestants in Nexer’s digital channels. However, the material must not reveal any important details about the business ideas and business plans and should be in accordance with Swedish law and good practice.
By entering the competition, contestants commit to participate at a pitch-day. The four finalists should also attend the announcement of the winner during Nexer Summit in November 2022. For contestants outside of Sweden, participation via link is possible.
Everyone involved in Dream Big has signed a confidentiality agreement and has no right to use or convey ideas/solutions proposals for commercial purposes without the contestants’ consent. These terms apply to all contestants (including all team members) who compete in Dream Big.
