Nexer is expanding within R&D in southern Sweden
Nexer continues to invest in its already expanding R&D area. The focus is on product-related software development, embedded development, as well as expertise in CI/CD. The need for expertise in this area is great. Today, the company is established in Gothenburg and Stockholm and is expanding in Malmö and southern Sweden.
The Öresund region is a growth region with the largest labour market in the Nordic region with 4 million people, and Malmö is the 7th fastest growing city in Europe. With 17 universities in the region, 3 of which are located in Malmö, it’s Scandinavia’s largest recruitment base for highly educated skills. Furthermore, the region has well-developed cooperation between business and research and a solid entrepreneurship and creative development base.
Within the region, many large companies such as Alfa Laval, Trelleborg, Tetra Pak, E-ON, IKEA and others need skills in tech and digital transformation.
Paul Bergqvist has been recruited to Nexer and will lead the work in the R&D area with a focus on southern Sweden and Copenhagen, and together with Ulf Ödesjö, Business Area Manager, will continue to expand the business unit. Paul Bergqvist has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry and 15 years as a manager in companies with an international focus, where Paul has been a driving force in the companies’ development and growth.
