Nexer launches a new focus area for generative AI

Nexer Insight has started a new international focus area within Generative AI that offers companies and public organisations packaged services and consulting services that enable them to exploit the opportunities offered by large language models (LLM).

Generative AI has become one of the most rapidly exciting – and sometimes scary – developing fields of Artificial Intelligence. With new advancements and breakthroughs emerging almost daily, it is predicted to dramatically change operations in many companies and industries in the coming years. For instance, AI is predicted to enhance productivity in financial services, software development, customer and citizen service, business analysis, trend-based garment creation, content generation and adaptation of digital services. Nexer Insight provides a range of offerings based on Generative AI and large language models, including starter programs, packaged solutions, and consulting services. As a result, they are well-equipped to assist businesses in harnessing the power of Generative AI and leveraging it for their specific needs.

Nexer Insight is set to lead the way in Generative AI, with operations in Sweden, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Their primary objective is to comprehensively analyse the immense potential and business applications of Generative AI while focusing on mapping out this technology’s infrastructure, architecture, ethics, and information security risks. By establishing robust infrastructure and governance early on, organisations can harness AI efficiently and sustainably while optimising energy consumption.

– Adopting Generative AI will be about survival, both in the short and long term. It’s not that the technology will outcompete companies and organisations, but rather the ability to establish, integrate, and leverage generative AI to give an edge to those who embrace it. We are witnessing the rapid emergence of entirely new services and use cases, presenting exciting business opportunities.

“At Nexer, we hold a unique position when it comes to taking complete responsibility. Right now, we are at the forefront of promoting responsible interaction between humans and AI, focusing on business, ethics, and technology,” says David Österlindh, CEO of Nexer Insight.

Carl Tönseth, Business Manager Advanced Analytics Nexer Insight, explains, “AI in local government is creating business value, transforming public services, and streamlining administrative processes. For example, our work in Sweden has seen cities move from manual Excel sheets to reliable, automated data systems, reducing administrative burdens for local government workers. This includes using AI for decision-making in issuing building permits and creating platforms for local businesses to expedite decision processes.

Further, AI’s transformative role also extends to environmental sustainability, optimising garbage truck routes and helping reduce CO2 emissions. Predictive analytics further enhance areas like traffic management and infrastructure planning, offering substantial economic benefits. However, integrating AI demands a balanced approach, intertwining business value with ethical and tech considerations. Ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability in AI use mitigates biases. Strategic investments in data infrastructures and relevant training are critical. Collaboration between governments, technologists, and communities ensures AI’s ethical use, leading to greener, smarter cities and improved quality of life.”
