Nexer's CEO Lars Kry elected to TechSverige's Board of Directors
At the industry organisation TechSverige’s annual meeting on May 11, Lars Kry, CEO of Nexer Group, was elected as new board member. Together with the other 14 members, he will work to strengthen Sweden as a leading tech nation.
– It is with great pride and high expectations that I take a seat on the board of TechSverige. It is an honourable assignment, and we at Nexer have been involved in TechSverige for many years. I am impressed by their work and its significant contribution to the tech industry in Sweden. I have a great commitment to the areas that TechSverige advocates for, such as education, diversity, and gender equality, but also the responsibility it means to build the society of the future with tech as an enabler, says Lars Kry, CEO of Nexer Group.
Tech and engineering are the basis for Sweden’s welfare and are today Sweden’s new primary industry, with the sector’s contribution to GDP has grown by as much as 1 300 per cent since 1981. In 2020, it totalled 281 billion SEK, almost as much as the total contribution from traditional Swedish primary industries.
– We are in a paradigm shift where tech development is taking place rapidly with fantastic opportunities. We have much work ahead to develop and shape tech so that it is used in the right way, with a positive agenda and contributing to a sound and sustainable social development. I look forward to working with TechSverige to contribute to an innovative and responsible tech industry, says Lars Kry.
In addition to Lars Kry, Linus Wallin, CEO of Atea Sweden, was also elected to the board of TechSverige at the annual meeting.
